Used to live in Sarasota. Got to go to another Waterfront restaurant. This one's on US41 (Tamiami Trail) south of Stickney Point Road. It will be on the west side of the road (on the right going south). They have a 2 pound lobster tail that's to die for. If you both want one, call ahead. They only keep one ready to go.

And while you're going down 41, be sure to take Siesta Drive out to Siesta Key. It's even more beautiful than Anna Maria. Siesta Beach is one of the best beaches in the world - soft white sand (really quartz, not ground up shells!) feels like talcum powder on your feet. And the best part, it never gets hot...you can walk on it comfortably no matter how hot it is outside. You'll go through downtown Siesta Key where you can find shops and restaurants. At the south end of the island, you can either explore all the way down to Turtle Beach (completely different from Siesta Beach) or take Stickney Point Road back to 41.

And I could hook you up with some friends that live on a remote offshore island - remote as in no phone, water, electricity......just a lot of beautiful island and beach. It's Cayo Costa - a state park and several people live there too. Down by Boca Grande.

Have fun. You can't help but enjoy yourself there. Be sure to stop in the ice cream shop on the north tip of Anna Maria. Really great.

I got hooked up with you on Twitter because I'm trying to learn about search engine optimization. Still working on it.
